Volunteers at Tera Barra are a family of people that want to contribute to accomplish our mission while having fun and getting our hands in the earth. We work hard together and also enjoy a cup of coffee halfway through each morning when we come together at the Visitor Center. So come join us at the table on one of our volunteer days and see how you might become a part of our group.

Water
Water plants in greenhouses.

Compost
Learn how to make compost and mix soil. It’s a dirty job, but somebody’s gotta do it!
Plant
Prep for large plantings, and plant them!
Build
Help us build more greenhouses and other structures that house our outreach programs and garden center infrastructure.
Grow
Help us repot plants as they grow and witness how your care contributes to their growth.
Teach
Support the youth outreach program and guide a group of children through our nature trail and Knowledge Center.
Keep bees
Help with maintenance of beehives, harvest honey or relocate a nest.
Feel heavy duty
Learn how to use heavy machinery or how to use the wood-chipper.
Share
Show people around, sell some plants, have a laugh together.

Tera Barra is a self-sustaining, non-profit foundation which does not receive subsidies. We rely on a dedicated team of volunteers and small amount of staff.
